Holly's kittens are ready to be placed in their new homes, and they are very nice and
playful. Prussia's kittens are nice and playful, the girl is very playful and the boy would
snuggle with you for a little bit then decide to play with his sister.

I had lunch with someone that flew up from Florida to get their kitten. I got out of school
to have lunch!

March 3,2005

I flew a kitten to San Diego, California and went to a wild animal park and Sea World and
the zoo.

Every kitten has learned to climb, jump, eat out of the food and water bowls, play, retract
their claws, eat solid food, clean themselves, purr and scratch themselves. This weekend I
am showing TWO KITTENS at the Toledo TICA show. I will take pictures and post them
here when I get back.

The kittens turned four weeks old yesterday, and a kitten named Phantom just learned to
drink out of the water bowl! And a kitten named Smudge just learned to retract her claws!
They're running around the family room and playing around the whole house! And when you
call them they wouldn't walk they'd run! And Phantom learned to climb!

One cat named Angel had 3 kittens on March 20, 2006 and Smudge had 8 kittens on May 11
2006. So that was 11 kittens. My family sold a blue one from Angel's litter and today we
sold a cream kitten and a brown tabby that were both from Smudge's litter. So now we
only have 8 kittens total. They all are really cute and nice. They are very playful and they
snuggle up with us too.

Yesterday one of my cats, Smudge, had 7 kittens. But a kitten got stuck in the birth canal!
We didn't know until maybe 30 minutes, when this birth bubble was stuck at the end of
her butt and wouldn't come out. So my mom called the vet and told them all about it, and
they were going to close in 10 minutes! They quickly scheduled an emergency appointment
and me and my mom rushed to the vet and brought her in. They said she would need a
C-section to get them out. I want to be a cat vet when I grow up, so my mom asked if I
could watch, and they said yes! So they took me and my mom into this room and there was a
window where we could watch. I have to tell you, it was pretty gross, but interesting.
Smudge could have died if we didn't get there when we did. If you don't know what a birth
canal is or how a kitten could get stuck in one, let me explain. A birth canal is a tube like
thing. It holds the kittens in place until the mother is giving birth to kittens. When she is
ready to give birth, her body squeezes them through to go out the butt. A kitten could get
stuck in one if his/her head moves sideways he/she would not be able to pass through
correctly. Smudge could have died because her body was pushing it harder, and harder and
soon the birth canal would burst and Smudge would bleed to death. Actually all the kittens
survived, even the once stuck one!! Smudge is still alive too! My mom said most of the
times something like that happens, it isn't as happy as what happened with Smudge and her
kittens...
I think it was maybe a week or 2 ago and 2 cats, Holly and Phantom, had kittens! Phantom
had 4 and Holly had 6 kittens! On September 3rd, a cat named Fluffy had 5 kittens!!
I will put a picture of Smudge on the bottom of the page in More favorite pictures.
